- Lead content management and creation for the project website, to be fed with interviews, news and dissemination of results
- Write a monthly newsletter for the podcast creator community and audio journalism industry to disseminate project productions and activities
- Plan and implement marketing campaigns to recruit participants for project events, engage the podcast creator community with tools developed in the project and give visibility to the consortium’s podcast productions
- Develop multimedia communication materials — videos, infographics, leaflets, rollups — to present the project at events
- Write and distribute press releases to share project milestones with the media
- In year two of the project: lead the coordination of pan-European podcast community workshops and a podcast industry networking event in Paris
- Contribute to the development of News Decoder’s podcasting resources and communications activities
You are:
- A creative thinker with 3-5 years experience in a communications, marketing, or PR role

- Adept at building community on social media across multiple channels
- An excellent communicator across a range of partners and cultural contexts
- A podcast aficionado, as a creator or listener; Knowledge of the European podcasting industry is an asset but not essential
- An organized, detail-oriented project manager able to work independently, within a team and across diverse organizations; Experience of working within multi-partner and multi-national consortiums or large-scale EU-funded projects an advantage
- Confident and proficient in the use of web content management systems like WordPress, email marketing software, video production, graphic design and social media

Write for News Decoder
Are you interested in helping young people better understand the big news issues of our times? Do you have experience decoding complex topics for an international audience? Consider joining News Decoder’s roster of correspondents.
Our target audience is young people and educators around the world. Youth see headlines all the time on their devices and they know that some events are more important than others — but they don’t always understand why. Educators look for informative, accessible and relevant articles they can use in their classrooms. News Decoder correspondents provide the kind of explanatory journalism that offers the background often missing in mainstream news outlets.
We strongly encourage the youth we work with to tap authoritative sources when producing work for us, and expect the same of our correspondents. News Decoder only publishes original material not previously published elsewhere.
